[It's a good thing Poland did decide to stop by, as Yoite's practically pacing in his room. He wouldn't normally be here at this time, but after finding Sans earlier in the morning, he really needed to just be alone and think.
The knocking on the door still surprises him, and it shows on his face when he opens the door.]
Good morning. [But then he sees the cake and relaxes just a bit, moving aside to let her come in.]
I...thank you. [ He would really rather not be in debt to her more but...the cake is too tempting. After hesitating for just a second, he takes a slice and stuffs it into his mouth.]
Even if your existence is only important for one reason-- [Something she can identify with actually.]-- it doesn't mean you can't pick up other reasons, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant along the way.
... [ He actually doesn't know what to say to that. If this has been when he had first arrived, he would have dismissed it easily. But too much has happened, too many relationships forged (too many mistakes he's made) for him to just push it aside.
Eventually he mumbles:]
Everything is too complicated here, at home I knew who I was.

Or. Um. Something.
[Poland will set it down on his dresser. It's pre-cut so Yoite can just grab a slice with his hands as he is wont to do.]

Are you going to eat too?
1/2
I made it for you!

She doesn't want Yoite to think she's poisoning him or anything weird? No one can see her eating like this anyways.]
Good?

It smells good. [ A beat.] I wish I could taste it.

You've really had a pretty rough time your entire life. [From everything he's told her.]

Don't feel bad for me, I chose this. [ "I chose to kill myself in this way."]

I don't. I made a promise to someone, and I can't die until it's fulfilled.

I'm glad.
no subject
Why?
no subject
[Maybe it was always doomed to be painful and short but.]
I'm glad I got to meet you at least.

My life is only good for one thing. [And he sighs.]
I wish you wouldn't be. [ "And if I have my way, you won't remember."]
